I am trying to find a support group for moms of overseas sons. My son is being deployed to Afganastan Jan4th, and i am trying to cope with this and i just need someone who understands what i am going through to help me understand this.

This is a great organization, and I look forward to helping them send a few packages at Christmas. The magnets are great as well; it's very hard to find that stuff now that we've been at war several years. When our son, during his first deployment, wouldn't ask for much, we found a way to give some more through this organization. We are lucky as he will be back in Germany from his second deployment to Iraq - by Thanksgiving. But many others aren't so lucky, and my heart grieves for those families who have lost someone.

Thank you for what you are doing, I recently started a military family support group in my area and we are sending care packages to troops also. My son is in Afghanistan so I know how important these care packages are. God bless you and your family.
